We had a great night tonight in the Dells.  The 29
DirecTV car was fastest in practice, and carried that
speed over to qualifying too.  Davey Pennel set fast
time, with a time of 14.289 seconds.  He beat the rest
of the late models by over a tenth of a second.  Davey
started 6th in the dash, and made it up to 3rd.  In the
feature there was a full invert, which put Davey starting
13th.  He quickly moved up to ninth, and rode there
with a very loose car.  He managed to finish 6th, which
doesn't seem that great until you hear that Corey
Jankowski finished 15th.  This tightened the points
battle up tremendously.  Corey leads by seven points
over Davey Pennel.  Rich Schumann follows Pennel by
one point.

It was another great day for the 29 team in practice,
putting out the fastest time in practice again.  Rich
Schuman beat us by a few hundredths in qualifying, as
we settled for second.  The car was extremely fast in
the fast dash, as we started fifth and made our way up
to second.  I caught leader, Insane Shane, but couldn't
get past him.  From winning last weeks feature I started
in the back of the invert, which put me in tenth for the
feature.  The start of the feature was going great, and I
was up to fifth place challenging for forth when we
went three wide.  the 42 of Brian Hakala come down
and I got into him, which put us to the back of the
pack.  I made it back up to 8th before a problem
occured with the motor.  It was popping and what not
so I pulled off and took a sickening 14th place finish.
Come back next week for a great night and a twenty
lap shoot out event.

It was a beatiful day for racing in Lyndon Station, WI on
Saturday.  We were a top five car in practice, but
instead of bolting on four new tires, we decided to try
the tires we had for another week.  It didn't work so
great as we qualified our worst this year, 7th.  We
missed the dash by one, which meant to gain all the
points we lost there, we would have to move up quickly
from out last place starting spot in the heat.  I started
8th, and we managed to move all the way to second,
but ran out of laps to chase down heat winner, Bobby
Kendall.  We started front row outside in the feature.
The first two laps stayed side by side, door to door.
But after that I pulled out and lead all 50 laps of the
North American Cup race to win my very first Late
Model feature.  Thanks crew, sponsors, and fans!
Come on out kids for all the fun and games.  Don't
forget to come early for rides and autographs!

Saturday night was another great night for the team.
We were third fastest in practice.  New comer, Ryan
Carlson, and local, Mike Lichtfeld, beat us in qualifying,
putting us in third.  The roll of the dice was 5 making
the invert 13.  This meant I would start sixth row
inside.  The outside row went to the back right away.
The caution flag came out on lap 1 and I restarted 8th.
After we went green, more cars got together and I went
low to miss them and got held up.  It stayed green but I
was in 12th place now, and the field was spread way
out.  I made it back to 6th place when the caution came
out again on lap 35, giving us a five lap shootout.  I
stayed inside, and going to the checkard flag, the 41
and 55 cars got together, giving us a 4th place finish.
We gained another 8 points on the point leader,
leaving us 15 behind him.  Come on out and watch the
50 lap Late Model main event next week.  Also enjoy
the spectacular firework show put on by Thundercat
Fireworks.
